The numbers of cars will be limited to 160 in ‘Legend/Challenger’ and 160 in ‘Classic’
36 days, more than 200 teams registered!
Nothing is left to doubt, the 2019 edition of the Legend Boucles @ Bastogne, scheduled to be held on 1st, 2nd and 3rd February, promises to be under the most favourable of auspices. Since 1st November, the opening date for registrations, no less than…. … 200 teams have officially confirmed their presence! On top of that, the ‘stars’ of the ‘Legend’ category, as tradition requires, are still awaited.
“We are well ahead, date for date, as compared to 2018, Pierre Delettre, the organiser commented. In fact all categories are making headway. For the ‘Legend’ and ‘Challenger’, it is our best score since 2010, which had been a record year, and in ‘Classic’, it’s the third best overall result. No point in crying victory too soon, but the signs are more than encouraging. All the more so seeing that the top teams, but also many regional ones, are still missing. It is remarkable to note that the most spectacular progression involves the ‘Legend’ category! It is as though the competitors had assimilated the principle of the ‘Target Time’ as giving the appearance of a speed rally underpinning a Regularity event …”
For all those who have not as yet registered, the organisers of the Legend Boucles @ Bastogne 2019 are letting it be known that, for obvious organisational reasons, it has been decided to limit to 160 the number of competitors in the ‘Legend’ and ‘Challenger’ categories combined, and 160 in ‘Classic’. “This basically means that more or less 70 places remain available in ‘Legend + Challenger’ and some fifty places in ‘Classic’, Pierre Delettre continued. On the one hand there’s no rush, but on the other better not wait too long.” You have been warned …
When it comes to satisfaction, there is also a question of it when it comes to the collaboration with the Rallye Köln-Ahrweiler, as up until now, the teams having finished the 2018 German edition in 2nd (Küke-Carl/Porsche 911), 3rd (Schleimel-Wenzel/Vauxhall Astra) and 5th (Rumpfkeil-Berg/Mercedes 190 2.3 16S) places are already registered. And probably more to come.
Last but not least, it is worth reminding one and all that the competitors wishing to register for the ’Legend’ category must be in a position to produce the FIA homologation sheet or the National Historic Technical Passport, or else complete the form available on the official website of the Legend Boucles @ Bastogne, by clicking on the following links: http://www.racspa.be/2019/lb2019/images/LBB2019/Inscriptions%20LBB%20Legend/RACB%20Superlegend%20Passeport%20boucles%20FR-NL.pdf (FR & NL versions)

As a reminder, the creation of a ‘Super Legend’ Class (with a coefficient of 1,4) is intended to clean up a ‘Legend’ category which as from now is resting solely on vehicles duly homologated.
