A Nighttime Tour in the Footsteps of Jacky Ickx in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

Registrations for the 2026 Legend Boucles Bastogne Rally are coming in steadily, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere once again at the start on Place McAuliffe in Bastogne on Saturday, May 2.

Open to both classic and modern vehicles, the event—organized by the Royal Automobile Club of Spa—is more than ever geared towards the general public. Participants will have the opportunity to follow a route linking various sections of the Legend Boucles Bastogne… without any sense of competition, provided everyone strictly adheres to the rules of the road.

For those unfamiliar with rallies of this kind, there’s no need to worry: the roadbook, with its marked route and written notes, is designed to ensure that no one gets lost. As a reminder, registration for the 2026 Legend Boucles Bastogne Rally is €105 for cars built before 1987 and €125 for models built after 1987. The fee covers a crew of two.

Nighttime too!

As every year, those who can’t get enough will have the chance to take part in an optional nighttime loop. On May 2, the Belgian-Luxembourg border will be crossed, allowing crews to extend the fun along the beautiful roads of the Grand Duchy, between Wiltz, Clervaux, and Troisvierges.

A reminder: in 1999, 2000, and 2001, RAC Spa also organized a Tour of Luxembourg, parts of which are included in this event. The route passes the Kautenbach hill climb, where a young Jacky Ickx distinguished himself at the wheel of a Ford Cortina Lotus in 1965.

The nighttime loop ends at the Tavigny football field in Buret, in the municipality of Houffalize, where refreshments will be available from 10:00 PM to 1:30 AM. Participation in this optional night loop costs €50, in addition to the day’s other activities.

Save the date! Registration is available via the official website: www.racspa.be.
