The news has been eagerly awaited by many teams, crews and fans, and the Royal Automobile Club de Spa is now in a position to make it official. The 2024 edition of the Legend Boucles @ Bastogne will take place on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 February, and the event will follow the same format as the previous edition...

“To set the dates for the Legend Boucles @ Bastogne, we obviously have to wait for the first trends of the early season events, in particular the Monte Carlo Rally and the Rally of Sweden, comments Pierre Delettre on behalf of R.A.C. Spa. The first weekend in February remains an ideal position in the calendar, and I'm pleased that we can stick to this date, which suits us very well. All the more so as another event for historic cars such as the Neige et Glace will arrive later, which avoids any direct confrontation..."

At the end of the 2023 edition, the organisers of the Legend Boucles @ Bastogne took the temperature of the competitors, via a formal survey, in order to get a glimpse of the evolution of the winter classic in the heart of the province of Luxembourg. “And the overwhelming majority of crews were in favour of maintaining the main lines of the event, continues Pierre Delettre. The Legend Boucles 2024 will therefore continue to be organised over two days, with a Saturday stage on asphalt and a Sunday stage in the forest. Similarly, the recce for Saturday's regularity tests will continue to be run by 'Classic 65' crews, who will be able to accompany teams of the 'Legend', 'Challenger' and 'Youngtimers' categories. It goes without saying that the festivities on Friday evening, with the autograph session on the Place McAuliffe and the big parade in Bastogne's main street, will continue. This is also by popular demand, particularly from the shopkeepers... "

In keeping with another tradition, entries will be accepted from November 1. As for the route, which is in the hands of Eric Chapa, the broad outlines have already been decided.

And so the final countdown to the weekend of 3 and 4 February 2024 has begun. The ultimate proof that the Legend Boucles is an event that people talk about well in advance...
